Alien Geometry Caught On Tape | Animation
Thought I would share this here as it turned out pretty good. This is an animation my partner put together featuring one of my mathematical 3d printable models (interlocked ladder Möbius). Everything in this 20 sec. clip is either composited or created from scratch in 3d. There's no real-world footage used here other than a hdri map for reflections and lighting. The audio was mixed using nearly a dozen different sound clips and fx. The model, of course, was built in 3dsmax specifically for 3d printing, but since I modeled it using subdivision surface techniques in polygons, we were able to UV Unwrap and animate the mesh without much hast

"Shapeshifter" is part of a motivational series of short animated videos I am producing before the New Year with 3dsMax. My usual video tutorial content for 3dsMax and Blender will resume on my channel in January of 2017 on a regular bi-weekly basis.
This video project is an experimental motion graphics animation created using the Max Creation Graph (MCG) modifiers and standard polygon objects in 3dsMax 2017. No particle effects were used in the creation of this animation. All motion FX were created using keyframe animated modifiers and MCG tools within 3dsMax. Rendering was accomplished using the native ART Render engine in 3dsMax 2017. Vid
